WELCOME to the Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training Program's web site. This site is dedicated to rail workers and rail hazmat issues, and was developed with funding from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). The Rail Worker program also receives funding from the North American Railway Foundation (NARF) to support peer instruction for hazardous materials and radiological transportation training.
The Rail Workers Hazardous Materials Training Program is pleased to announce that funding has been received from the US Department of Transportation to conduct Hazmat Instructor Train the Trainer courses (for rail workers who have completed four or five-day hazmat training) at the National Labor College/George Meany Campus in Silver Spring, Maryland (See Course Dates for training schedule).
