U.S. Postal Service commemorative stamp honoring Randolph, 1989.
On February 3, 1989, the U.S. Postal Service issued 160 million commemorative stamps honoring A. Philip Randolph. Issued in conjunction with Black History Month, the stamp is the twelfth in the ongoing Black Heritage series of special covers. While Randolph is only the second union president honored with a stamp, his stamp is the fourth one issued to honor labor. Stamp design ©1989 U.S. Postal Service. Reproduced with permission.
